GREAT BEND, Kan. — The Family Crisis Center is delighted to announce the dedication of their newly transformed basement space, a significant milestone in their commitment to supporting individuals and families facing crisis situations. The Executive Director of the Family Crisis Center, Kiley Graves, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of community support that made this achievement possible.
The dedication ceremony took place with the presence of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, who joined for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. The newly dedicated space is particularly meaningful, as it is dedicated to a client and her children, symbolizing the Center’s ongoing dedication to the well-being of those in need.
Generous donations from the community, including clothing, household goods, hygiene items, toys, and more, have completely transformed the basement into a welcoming and dignified space. Clients can now experience a unique and empowering shopping-like atmosphere, where they can select essential items at no cost, fostering a sense of pride and dignity.
The ribbon-cutting celebration underscores the strength of the community, showcasing unity and support for individuals facing crisis situations. The Family Crisis Center is not only committed to providing basic necessities but also to fostering a sense of pride and dignity in every individual they serve.
The Executive Director, Kiley Graves, expressed heartfelt thanks to each community member who contributed to making this space a reality. She emphasized the positive impact that collective acts of generosity have on the lives of those facing crisis, stating, “Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of those facing crisis, one act of generosity at a time.”
