Family Community Theatre Brings Harvey to the Stage this Weekend, Registration Underway for Summer Academy

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The classic comedy “Harvey” takes the stage this weekend at the Family Community Theatre in Hutchinson. Prepare to laugh and have a good time.

Written by American playwright Mary Chase, Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey, is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit.

Showtimes are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Flag Theatre in Hutchinson. Tickets are available at Absolutely Home, 15 E. 14th, Bookends Bookstore, 123 N. Main, at www.familycommunitytheatre.org or at the door.

You can buy your tickets up to one hour prior to curtain time at the Flag Theatre.

Summer Academy

Registration is underway for the Family Community Theatre’s Summer Academy, Fantasy and Fairy Tales, which will be held June 19-23.

Students ages 6-18 will learn the basics of acting, singing and dancing at this themed theatre camp. They will then get to perform what they’ve learned at a showcase on the last day of the camp.
