Due to extremely slick road conditions and large number of resulting accidents, the Emergency Accident Reporting Plan has been activated in Hutchinson and McPherson.
In Hutchinson, If you are involved in an accident, there are no injuries, and alcohol, drugs or reckless driving are not involved and vehicles can be driven away, exchange information with the other driver and submit an accident report form.That form can be picked up at most Hutchinson convenience stores.
In McPherson, if you are involved in an accident where no injuries, drugs or alcohol are involved, it is not a hit and run and both vehicles can be moved, exchange insurance information and file a report online within 48 hours.
