HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department (HFD) responded to a fire at a small single-family residential home located at the 700 block of West 17th early Thursday morning.
HFD Division Chief Jeremy Unruh stated in a release that dispatch information advised smoke showing from the home. The first crews to arrive saw the smoke from the windows as well as glass debris in the street.
Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack, and quickly extinguished fire that was located in the basement of the home.
No one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation.
