SOUTH CENTRAL, Kan. — The mid-Kansas area saw another round of very heavy rain Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, with rain continuing to fall.
The Heaviest rain fell in a band from Hutchinson and Sterling east across southern McPherson County into Marion County, where 3.78 inches was reported in Hillsboro as of 7 AM Wednesday according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
McPherson NWS cooperative observer Jerry Bruce reported 2.50 inches with 2–3-inch rainfall common over most of the city except on the north edge where 1.5 inches was reported in the area of Main and Northview Road. Rainfall was much less to the north of McPherson.
Flood Warnings were issued for McPherson and Marion counties through noon today.
