Jeanette Mull’s paintings have their primary roots in the art of the American 20th Century and the French and American impressionist “plein air” traditions. Introduced to painting at an early age by her artist mother, it has been her passion and challenge as an adult.
Jeanette has honed her craft over the years by taking classes, studying under accomplished artists and attending workshops. She was a longtime member of the Friday Morning Art Group that meets weekly at the Hutchinson Art Center, for studio life drawing as well as “plein air” painting around the local area. Her work has been shown locally and throughout the region and her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the Midwest and beyond.
Mull was inspired by nature and the life and landscape of Kansas, her adoptive state, which she loved. Born in Missouri, she lived her married life in Hutchinson with physician husband, Jack. They had two children and four grandchildren.
