Bullpup Softball Sweeps Final Quad of 2024 Season, Remain in 1st Place in Regional Standings

SALINA, Kan. – McPherson High School Softball held their final quad of the season in Salina, defeating Junction City 9-3 and Great Bend 6-0 to remain in 1st place in the 4A West Regional standings.

The Bullpups took game one of the quad, beating Junction City 9-3. Carmin Pavlovich threw another complete game, allowing 7 hits, 3 runs and striking out 3 batters, giving Pavlovich her 6th pitching win of the season. Offensively, McPherson continued their hot bats with 12 hits, including three doubles and a home run. Addison Chapman led the Pups going 3-3 with a double, a home run and 3 RBI’s. Haely Hagemann added two doubles and 3 RBI’s and Karter Alvord went 3-4 driving home two more runs.

Addison Chapman continued her strong showing on the mound in game two in the 6-0 win against Great Bend, throwing a complete game shutout and allowing just two hits, striking out seven as well. Chapman also hit 2-4 with a home run, a double and 5 RBI’s. Hagemann tacked on two more hits, finishing 2-2 in the contest.

The Bullpups are now 20-4 on the season. They will return home for Senior Night Monday, April 6 for a double-header against Andale to close out the regular season.
