McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson USD 418 Assistant Superintendent Jamie Lewis has announced his resignation effective at the end of the 2023-24 school year. The resignation was announced Tuesday afternoon in a McPherson Public Schools Newsletter.
Lewis, who is in his second year as assistant superintendent, has accepted an offer to become assistant superintendent for Valley Center USD 262. This appointment is subject to final approval by the USD 262 Board of Education at their next meeting March 18th.
Prior to assuming his current role, Lewis was principal at Valley Center High school for 15 years. Before that he was assistant principal of McPherson Middle School.
According to the USD 418 newsletter, the central office administrative team will over the coming weeks look at administrative needs and responsibilities and prepare for a search for the vacated position.
