McPherson, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – February 20, 2024 – Central Christian College of Kansas Athletics Director, Kyle Moody, has announced that men’s soccer coach, Aaron Hoxie, has resigned to become the next head coach at Mid-America Christian University.
Hoxie has been at the helm of the CCCK men’s soccer program for the past 12 seasons, amassing 107 wins as the Tiger skipper. He guided the Tigers to three NCCAA national tournament appearances in 2020-21, 2022, and 2023 that included a final four run this past fall. The Tigers won the NCCAA Central Region in 2022 with a dramatic PK shootout victory over Southwestern Christian. Twice he was the NCCAA Central Region Coach of the Year, and in 2023 he was named the NCCAA Frank Jewel Coach of Character award recipient. Hoxie’s best run in the Sooner Athletic Conference came in the COVID season of 2020-2021 where his Tigers made the finals of the conference tournament when it was played in the spring that year.
Hoxie said of his tenure at CCCK, “I want to take this opportunity to send a very special thank you to the Central Christian College community at large. You mean the world to me and I am forever grateful for the relationships that have been built. I am going to miss working with my TT and the rest of the players, along with the athletic staff, you all are dear friends. Central is a special place and lives are changed forever as a result.”
Moody said of Hoxie, “Coach Hoxie has done a great job with the men’s soccer program here at Central over the past 12 years becoming the winningest coach in school history. He will be missed, but we wish him and his family the best as they transition to a new place!”
Coach Hoxie’s resignation is effective February 29, 2024. A national search for the next Tiger men’s soccer coach, will begin immediately.
