RICE COUNTY, Kan. — Four candidates emerged from a ten person field Tuesday to win seats on the Sterling USD 376 Board of Education. Ted Carder was the top vote getter with 382 votes, followed by William Kilgore with 337, Jessi Dobson with 288 and Staci Fulbright with 284.
John Tietjens, Randy Burdick and Eli C. W. Rundle were elected to the Little River City Council
In Little River USD 444 final results were not available early this morning due to vote counting issues in McPherson County. Rice County results gave the four at-large seats to Mark Frick, Renee Giesenhagen, Andy Willis and Wade Wright.
Two Rice County-based school districts will have one of their Board of Education seats filled through write-in. Only three people filed for the four available positions in Chase-Raymond USD 401 and Lyons USD 405. Write-in ballots will be counted when Rice County Commissioners conduct their vote canvass later this month
