Volleyball Bulldogs Top Tabor at Home

McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) –  The McPherson College Bulldogs ran their winning streak to four games Wednesday (Nov. 1) with a 3-0 sweep over the Tabor College Bluejays inside the Sport Center. In addition to the winning streak, the Bulldogs have six of their last seven games.

The Bulldogs took care of business in the opening set, winning 25-20, then hit .457 in the second set with 17 kills and just one error to win 25-13 and take a commanding 2-0 lead for the match.

Tabor grabbed an early 7-2 advantage in the third game, then led 11-6 before four straight points by the Bulldogs including a trio of kills by Hadley Waldren pulled MC within one point.

Then tied 19-19, the Bulldogs took over, thanks to kills by Petra FernandezZoe Fernandez, and Waldren along with a service ace by Katelyn Moore to give the Bulldogs the 25-20 win and complete the sweep.

Petra Fernandez finished with a team-high 12 kills, while Waldren added 11 kills thanks to a .500 attacking percentage. Cynarah Rodriguez finished with 41 assists, while adding three kills and an ace.

Defensively, Moore led the way with 14 digs, while Moriah Delgado had 11 digs and Petra Fernandez finished with 10 digs. Waldren finished with seven blocks while Zoe Fernandez added five blocks.

The Bulldogs are back at the Sport Center on Saturday (Nov. 4) for Senior Day against Avila starting at 3:00 p.m.
