MARQUETTE, Kan. — McPherson County Sheriff Department deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Smoky Valley Road near 6th Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 14, at approximately 08:10 a.m. On scene, deputies found a Kawasaki Mule rolled into the South ditch.
Marquette Fire Department and EMS were also dispatched, and the sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Richard L. Anderson, 39, of Marquette, Kan., was pronounced deceased by Marquette EMS personnel.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No further details have been provided at this time.
