HILLSBORO, Kan. — The Hillsboro Trojans ended their 30th Annual Invitational on a good note, placing first in the overall tournament on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Circle High School took second place, Rock Creek got third, and Halstead came in fourth place at the invitational.
Circle started out as the winning team of Pool A on Saturday and Rock Creek was the Winning team of Pool B.
Hillsboro, the runner-up of Pool A, won against Rock Creek (25-12, 24-26, 31-29).
Halstead, runner-up of Pool B, lost to Circle, (26-24, 25-12).
Rock Creek and Halstead battled it out to determine third and fourth place and Rock Creek came out the winner (26-24, 22-25, 25-22).
Hillsboro defeated Circle (25-19, 25-22), which put them at first place in the tournament.
