McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson County Sheriff Department has identified that the man that was discovered at Maxwell State Lake on Saturday, Sep. 2 is that of 61-year-old Randy B. Gepner of McPherson.
In a release sent out today, Captain Jordan Baxter from the McPherson County Sheriff Department said that preliminary investigation indicated Gepner was involved in a single vehicle accident that resulted in his vehicle entering the water.
Gepner was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time. Drowning has been listed as the initial cause of death.
