Ratzlaff Named Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Megan Ratzlaff, daughter of Ric and Susie Ratzlaff of Buhler, Kan., is one of 213 Phi Theta Kappa members nationwide who were named 2023 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars. Out of nearly 1100 applicants, winners were selected based upon scholastic achievement, community service, and leadership potential. Each winner receives a $1000 scholarship.

Megan is a sophomore at Hutchinson Community College studying Political Science and History. She currently holds leadership positions in Phi Theta Kappa, the Honors Program, and Campus Crusade for Christ. Megan is also a member of the college’s Symphonic Band.

“I am so thankful for the learning, adventures, and people at HutchCC that God has used to continue building upon the solid foundation made possible by the incredible family and church family that He has given me.” Megan says. “There are several fantastic teachers at HutchCC that have been such a blessing in my life that I am grateful for as well. I am looking forward to continuing my educational journey as a Blue Dragon this year.”

Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The Society is made up of approximately 240,000 active members in the United States.
