BARTON COUNTY, Kan. — Two people were injured Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash south of Great Bend.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Cameron Stevenson of Ellinwood was westbound on SW 50 Road and started to have mechanical problems with his motorcycle and drove off onto SW 10 Road, where he was swiped on the right side by a motorcycle driven by Betsy Teegardin of Olathe.
Stevenson was taken to Ellinwood District Hospital by private vehicle with reported serious injuries, while Teegardin was taken to another facility, also by private vehicle with minor injuries.
KHP said both Stevenson and Teegardin were wearing helmets and eye protection.
