HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two Hutchinson men have been arrested on attempted first degree murder and other charges stemming from a June 11th incident in the 400 block of Liberty.
Hutchinson Police Lt. Justin Loepp said a man was sitting in a vehicle when he was approached by a male who had pulled up in another vehicle behind him who demanded undisclosed property from him. As the victim tried to flee the suspect produced a handgun and shot him in the leg.
The victim went to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and was later transferred to a Wichita hospital where he was treated and released. Lt. Loepp said evidence suggested the incident had been planned and a second person in the vehicle was implicated in it.
Jason Gleason Jr., who was already in custody on two other cases, is being held on a $602,000 bond on all cases, while Jacob Terry, who was arrested Monday afternoon, is being held on a $560,000 bond.
Both men also face charges of aggravated battery and aggravated robbery from the incident.
