LYONS, Kan. — Brew 56 Coffee and Tap House has gone under new management as of Aug. 1. Owners Mark and Stacy Clark, along with their daughter Megan Giorgetti decided it was time to sell the business after serving the Lyons/Rice County community for over five years.

In a post explaining their news on July 7, the family said, “The decision has been bittersweet. When we started our journey with you, we knew we had a lot to learn about running a business. There were bumps and obstacles, but you were so patient with us. It has been wonderful getting to know each one of you. Our family has been blessed watching you live out community at Brew, and it’s hard to believe that we have been serving Lyons for more than 5 and a half years now.”

Two couples have purchased Brew 56. Darin and Barb Clark previously owned Sonic in Lyons and served the community for years. Leon and Paula Boyea, residents of Lyons for the past two years are the other couple who bought the business.

They know how important Brew is to the community and are excited to see it continue” Stacy and Mark Clark said.

One of the biggest reasons for the decision to sell the business according to the Clarks was because their daughter will be moving onto a different occupation and they decided a while ago that once she moved on, they would too.

Giorgetti recently accepted a position as Accompanist with the Lyons Public Schools.

“If you think she knows her way around an espresso machine, she REALLY knows her way around a piano,” Giorgetti’s parents commented. “‘Mom and Dad’ are thrilled that she wants to share her music gifts with the students in this community.”

On July 28, Brew 56 had live music with Roger Klein and the Pacemakers and on Saturday, July 29, they featured the music group Color Green. This was a goodbye party meant to celebrate the years the family has served the community and also a way for them to introduce the new owners.
