HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The United Way of Reno County (UWRC) will soon be moving to a new location, allowing for expanded space. Staff announce this week that UWRC will lease space from the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber, with the move planned for the end of August.
Through several grants, Executive Director Lisa Gleason said UWRC has had the opportunity to add more staffing and has outgrown its current location on North Main. Not only will the move provide more square footage, but it will also come at a savings to the organization.
UWRC currently employs four full-time and four part-time individuals.
Through mobilizing local community support, UWRC’s goal is to advance the education, income and health of all Reno County residents. Currently, UWRC supports funding for close to 30 non-profit agencies in Reno County through its annual campaign.
For those interested, UWRC is hosting a Day of Caring on Tuesday, July 18th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the USD 308 Mid-Town Center, 200 E Sherman St in Hutchinson. The hope is to help those in attendance to better understand United Way’s current work in the community and how your involvement changes lives. Lunch is provided. RSVP to [email protected] or call (620) 669-9329.
