BUHLER, Kan. – The Buhler Community Foundation awarded a grant of $10,000 from the Fund for Buhler to save the Wheatland Park Gazebo.

The Wheatland Park Gazebo was built in 1988 in a joint effort between the City of Buhler and Buhler’s Kiwanis Club to commemorate the Buhler Centennial.  It has become a landmark in Buhler and been the site of many community events.  In recent years, the gazebo’s condition has deteriorated requiring urgent repairs to maintain its safety and usability.

The Buhler Community Foundation is proud of the history and cooperation represented in the gazebo and is excited to support the restoration efforts.

Established in 2009, Buhler Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire philanthropy, collaboration and innovative leadership to strengthen the community.
