HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Kyle Cameron, a student at Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy, recently won the National SkillsUSA gold medal by placing first in the high school Commercial Roofing competition.
The SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held June 19-23 in Atlanta, GA, is the largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce, bringing together thousands of students, instructors, business partners, and administrators.
Career and Technical Education students compete hands-on in 110 career competition events.
Advisors Alan Beck and Jeremiah Harmon helped Cameron prepare for the competition.
