BUHLER, Kan. – Friday is the final day for residents to respond to a Facility Needs survey being conducted by Buhler USD 313. The survey is to gain input regarding potential projects for a no-mill-levy-increase school facility bond.
The District recently completed a series of community meetings to discuss facility priorities. Voters failed to approve a bond issue in April that would have provided facility improvements, as well as the creation of a new space for Ad Astra Academies and a new indoor activities facility.
According to District officials, the refinancing of an existing bond to a lower interest rate, increased state aid, and increased valuations have provided the opportunity to look at an additional bond for improvements.
