HUTCHINSON, Kan. – During the most recent Click It or Ticket Campaign, the Hutchinson Police Department conducted overtime saturation patrols to enforce Kansas occupant restraint, texting, impaired driving, and other traffic laws.

Officers wrote 78 safety belt citations, one child restraint citation, three speeding citations, 53 other citations and 2 arrests. 142 vehicle stops were made during the campaign.

“We are here to enforce Kansas Traffic Laws and ultimately, to decrease unsafe driving behavior,” Interim Chief Brice Burlie said. “If you were stopped, we hope you learned from the experience. If so, we have made the roads a little safer for you and those you share the road with.”
