GODDARD, Kan. – It was two tough innings that set the McPherson Pipeliners back on Tuesday, playing their first road game of the season against the Kansas Curve.

The Pipeliners would lead on two occasions, scoring a run in the second and the fifth but the Curve would have an answer each time, taking the lead in the fifth with four runs, before six runs in the sixth made it an 11-2 McPherson deficit.

At the plate, the bats would heat up late for the Pipeliners to outscore the Curve in the final three innings. Brock Butler finished 2 for 3, and led with two RBI’s. Chase Deloach recorded three hits, while Jack Hirchert also finished with a multi-hit game, as each collected an RBI.

McPherson will play their third game in as many days on Wednesday, when they host the MidWest Moos at Light Capital. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
