MCPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. – A McPherson man was killed Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a semi in southern McPherson County.
McPherson County Sheriff Jerry Montagne identified the victim as 37-year-old Michael Heitkotter. Heitkotter was southbound on 14th Avenue when he struck the semi which was westbound and had failed to yield from a stop sign.
McPherson Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene where Heitkotter was pronounced deceased at 2:19 p.m.
No information was released concerning the condition of the semi-driver.
