BUHLER, Kan. – Tuesday, April 4 is election day for residents in the Buhler USD 313 school district. The lone line item on the ballot is the proposed $8 million bond issue for district improvements.
If approved, planned projects include the creation of new classroom and office spaces for the Ad Astra Virtual and Alternative Academies, expansion of the Burkholder Administration Center, construction of an Indoor Activity Facility, and enhancements to playground facilities at the district’s three elementary schools.
USD 313 Administrators have said that passage of the bond issue would not raise the bond and interest mill levy for the next school year.
Advance voting, which opened on March 27, saw more than 200 patrons turn out to cast their ballots. Polls will remain open until 7 p.m. on election day.
