HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Hutchinson Fire crews responded late Friday to 1715 Carey Blvd for a report of a structure fire in an attached garage. First arriving crews encountered heavy smoke showing from the front door and fire coming out the side door of the garage.
An aggressive interior attack was implemented to prevent the fire from extending further into the home. A primary search was completed and no one was found to be inside.
In addition to the fire, crews had to battle against strong winds. Once the fire was knocked down, an overhaul was performed in the garage and kitchen.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
