LYONS, Kan. – Approximately two dozen Lyons High School students and sponsors traveled to Spain during Spring Break where they stayed with host families. Students participated in school activities with their peers at the host school and toured historical and cultural sites.
This past week, Lyons High School students and their families returned the favor by hosting students from Spain, who likewise, attended school and school activities and a couple of area field trips including the Cosmosphere and Rock City near Minneapolis.
“Thank you to LHS Spanish teacher Señora Puig for making this fantastic opportunity a reality,” Lyons USD 405 Superintendent Bill Day said.
The students from Spain started their visit to Lyons by learning about the community and area from Lyons City Administrator Chad Buckley and Mayor Dustin Schultz.
