HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Laugh your way to the finish line at Strataca’s first Fools Day 5K. This is a unique 5K cross country style run is 650′ below the earth’s surface in an active salt mine.
This race will be run in heats due to the logistics of getting everyone underground. Heats are limited to the first 30 participates to sign up. You may run or walk this event and will have the opportunity to time yourself by using clocks at the start and finish lines.
You will need to bring:
• Helmet: A bike helmet is recommended. All helmets will be subject to approval by staff
• Light: A headlamp on your helmet works great. It gets DARK down there!
T-shirt sizes and availability can NOT be guaranteed after Monday, March 6th, 2023, register early to be sure to get one. The first 200 registrants are guaranteed a medal. No one may enter under 8. Ages 8-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
