WICHITA, Kan. (macbulldogs.com) — McPherson College sophomore Jordyn Johnson was named KCAC Pitcher of the Week following a pair of solid outings, the league announced Tuesday (Feb. 28).
Johnson, a native of Lakewood, Colo., got her week started with five strikeouts while allowing just four hits and one run in seven innings of work.
She followed that with a career-high-tying seven-strikeout performance while notching her second career shutout.
Johnson ranks eighth in the KCAC with a 2.00 ERA and is ninth in the league in strikeouts per seven innings with 6.00.
