MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson College announced Thursday the hiring of Ed Loeb as Assistant Athletic Director, effective immediately.
He will support internal and external operations and will be responsible for assisting the management of all athletic activities, events, and personnel.
Loeb spent the previous 13 years as the faculty athletic representative at Southwestern College. During that time, he was responsible for certifying and regularly tracking eligibility for student-athletes both academically and athletically. He also acted as interim Athletic Director for the Moundbuilders from July to December 2021.
During his tenure at Southwestern, Loeb served on numerous committees within the NAIA, including chairman of the Council of the Faculty Athletic Representatives from 2016-19. He was also elected chair of the National Coordinating Committee and served on the National Conduct and Ethics Committee.
He has worked on multiple hiring committees for new coaches, including Head Football Coach, Inaugural Baseball Coach, and multiple Athletic Directors and Sports Information Directors.
Loeb graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Bethany College in 1999. He also holds a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in mathematics from the University of Nebraska.
