HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Elyria Christian Volleyball team traveled for a triangular on Tuesday, to take on Central Christian High School, and Central Christian Academy.
The Eagles would defeat the CCHS Cougars 25-16, 25-19, as Ryland Hawkinson had 8 kills and 11 digs in the game. Brooke Davidson added 6 kills, while Macy Reiff had 5 kills and 10 digs.
In the final match of the night, Elyria would fall to CCA 25-21, 25-15. Brooke Davidson had 7 kills and 3 blocks. Macy Reiff had 16 digs, Ryland Hawkinson followed with 15. Raegan Hawkinson had 13 digs to go along with 3 blocks, and Alexus Swenson contributed 10 digs.
The Elyria Christian Volleyball team will be the No. 2 seed in the Class 1A DI Goessel Sub-state. The Eagles will take on Rural Vista 20 minutes after match #2 between Goessel and Central Plains. Solomon and Canton Galva will begin at 1 p.m.
