GREAT BEND, Kan. (BartonSports.com) – In conjunction with its February 12 home basketball games, the Barton Community College Athletic Department will dedicate the events as “Pink Out Night” in its annual support of Camp Hope.

In an effort to raise funds for the nearby youth camp, the Department is selling commemorative t-shirts with all proceeds going directly to the Camp Hope initiative.

Last year a record 432 shirts were sold as generous contributions to the Department’s efforts produced a $4,200 donation presented to Camp Hope representatives.

Held every summer at the College’s Camp Aldrich near Claflin, the week-long camp is offered by KyMel, Inc. and provides a free, traditional summer camp experience for ages 4-17 who have, or have had cancer. The mission of Camp Hope is to provide a normal, active and safe camp experience where children can celebrate life with, through, and beyond the diagnosis of cancer.

Supporting the initiative for many years, Barton Athletics requests pre-order of t-shirts by January 24 in preparation of celebrating the fund drive and check presentation at halftime of the men’s contest hosting Seward County Community College that evening.

Cost for the t-shirts are $15 (sizes youth small through adult extra-large), $17 (double extra-large), and $20 (triple extra large).

Order form is located at BartonSports.com or contact Heather Panning at [email protected] or (620) 792-9377.
