WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – Curtis Rose has been named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week, following an outstanding week the league announced Monday (Jan. 6).

“Curt had a great week leading us to a big conference win,” head coach T.J. Eskildsen said. “As our point guard he is the one that makes us go. He is always very active on the defensive end. I’m excited for him that he was able to get this recognition.”

A native of Midwest City, Okla., Rose got his week started by setting a new career-high with five steals in the Bulldogs loss to Saint Xavier. The point guard finished the week averaging 3.0 steals per game, and 4.0 defensive rebounds per game.

Rose and the Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday (Jan. 8) when they travel to Nebraska to take on York University. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
