NEW STRAWN, Kan. — A New Strawn man was injured in a plane crash Saturday afternoon in Labette County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol Said Michael Ribordy was attempting to land his small plane on a private grass strip off 21000 Road just east of US 59 about three miles south of Parsons when it hit a power line, causing it to nose the ground.
Ribordy was taken to Labette health in Parsons with reported serious injuries and was later transferred to a hospital in Kansas City.
Friends of the Ribordy Family have launched a GoFund Me fundraiser, “Donations and prayers appreciated for Michael & Gabby” to help the family stay up with bills and cover other expenses related to Michael’s hospital stay, which as of Sunday afternoon had already raised over $11,000.
