Tigers Women’s Soccer Falls to Bluejays

HILLSBORO, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – The Central Tigers Women’s Soccer team drops their 3rd straight game to the Tabor Bluejays on Saturday evening 0-5.

Tabor blitzed the Tigers to start the game with 6 shots on goal in the 1st 15 minutes of play. Unfortunately the Tigers were unable to stop one of the shots as the Blue Jays led 1-0 early in the 1st half. Tabor was able to control the ball holding the Tigers to zero shots in the 1st half as the Blue Jays scored again to go into the half leading by 2. Tabor scored a 3rd goal to start the 2nd half, but the Tigers responded quickly taking 2 good shots at goal by Amaya Chaffee, and Camri Coker, but were saved by Tabor goalkeeper Neve Mulrooney. Tabor scored 2 late goals to take the game 5-0. Kaitlyn Beckman saved 15 shots a goal for the Tigers.

The Tigers (2-3) will next travel to McPherson College (0-3) to take part in the McPherson Collegiate Cup on Tuesday. Kickoff will be at 5pm.
