BALDWIN CITY, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The Bulldogs were unable to counter an early goal deficit as they fell to the Baker University Wildcats on the road, 4-1.
The lone goal for MC was scored by Anthony Pereira in the 55th minute mark. He was assisted by Abdul Kanu on the goal. The Bulldogs only recorded a pair of shots on goal in the game, Pereira’s goal being one of them with Eric Mendoza recording the other. Keito Takehara Jr started his fourth game as the goalkeeper for MC. He played the entire game and recorded three saves.
The Wildcats were led by Ian Waindim, who recorded a hat-trick on the night. Reilly Marlow-Jones recorded the other goal for Baker. Christian Villegas started in goal for Baker and recorded win number two on the year.
MC is back in action on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:30 p.m. when they return to McPherson to take on a cross-town foe in Central Christian College for the second ever game in the McPherson Collegiate Cup.
