Larks Men’s Golf Starts Season in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (HCLarks.com) – The Hesston College golf team, led by first-year head coach Christian Ghilardi, opened up their fall season at the UC Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University at Lincoln Park West on August 26 and 27. The Larks finished with a team total of 940 scoring +88 across the 54-hole tournament.

Freshman Mark Neeley led the way for HC finishing tied for 24^th out of 79 individuals. The Arlington, Texas native shot rounds of 74, 71 and 70 to finish two-over in his college debut. The next highest finisher for the Larks was Ivar Bruce, a freshman from Gavle, Sweden, who finished 65^th with a total tally of 233 shooting rounds of 81, 75 and 77.

The Larks will take next week off before traveling to Salina to play in the Carmichael Cup hosted by Bethany College on September 9 and 10.
